DACS Workshop to be offered in NC, in conjunction with Fall SNCA Meeting
Describing Archives: A Content Standard (DACS) will be offered at Belk Library, Appalachian State University, Boone, NC, Oct. 16, 2008, 8:30 am-5 pm.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and the Society of North Carolina Archivists (SNCA). Participants will learn what the content standard is and how to apply it to archives functions such as accessioning, arranging, and describing manuscript collections. All registrations and payments for the DACS workshop are handled by the Society of American Archivists (SAA). SNCA members quality for a $25 discount for the workshop (contact the Program Chair for details).
The Fall SNCA meeting takes place on Oct. 17, at Belk Library, at Appalachian State. Registration for the Fall SNCA meeting will open in early September.
