The Details

The Autism Society of North Carolina is sponsoring a run/walk on October 8th, 2005 in downtown Raleigh. We need 16 HAM radio operators (HT's or mobiles on 2 meters) to assist from approximately 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Downtown streets along the route will be closed to vehicle traffic and enforced through the Raleigh Police Department, which is providing at least 15 officers at a number of the key intersections.

The Course

The event starts at Martin and Blount going North on Blount to Polk, turn left onto Polk then Left onto Wilmington to Cabarrus (Approx 22 blocks) then left to Blount to Polk street (Again) then right onto Polk and right onto Person (going South) until the finish at Moore Square Park (Martin and Person).
