Submissions for the web site
Your submissions are welcome for the web site!
But please read this first! You might save yourself and the site maintainers a lot of work.
Corrections and suggestions
Spot an error? Have a better idea? Please let us know!
The single most helpful thing you can provide is the exact address of the page. Really! We have hundreds of pages, and "the page about xxx" just isn't enough anymore to identify a page.
Our email is at the bottom of this page.
Submissions going to other publications
If your information is going into another church publication, it's not necessary to send it separately. Instead, let the publications assistant know that you want your publication posted on the web site, so he can email us a copy when it's done. That always happens with the Sunday announcements and Cross Roads.
But, you might want to drop us a note and ask to have a link to your information placed on the front page. See the bottom of this page.
Just for the web site?
Otherwise, go ahead and send your information directly to the websexton.
The best way to send it is in a plain text email. Then we can easily add the information to a web page on the site. Example:
To: websexton@thechapelofthecross.org Subject: Please post skeet committee notice Please post on the church web site that the Committee to Save the Skeet will be meeting Friday, February 10, at 7:00 pm in the parish library. Everyone is welcome. Anyone with questions can email skeet@example.com for more information. Thanks!
Please do not spend extra time creating a fancy formatted word processor document, or your own web pages. If you have them already, send them - but spending extra time creating them will not save us any time.
How to reach us
To contact the websexton, email to websexton@thechapelofthecross.org.
(A meaningful subject line will help a lot - the websexton email gets a lot of spam. So "Please post this information about the Candlemas service" is more likely to get read than "web site".)
