Membership

Member meetingWorking together to create a healthier tomorrow for North Carolinians

Since the North Carolina Alliance for Health (NCAH) was formed seven years ago, we have made substantial progress toward achieving our policy goals of reducing the ill effects of tobacco and reducing the burden of obesity in North Carolina. The NCAH continues to make significant progress in promoting policy changes that will result in a healthier state. But, there is still much left to do and we need your help!

We invite you to become a member of the North Carolina Alliance for Health. Membership is open to both individuals and organizations. We ask for a moderate membership contribution which will vary according to the size of your organization’s budget (see membership application). These dues will enable NCAH to strengthen our policy efforts in reducing the ill effects of tobacco and further expand our efforts to reduce the impact of obesity in our state.

See what the Alliance has accomplished with help from the membership since 2005.

What will your organization receive by becoming a “dues-paying” NCAH member?

  • The opportunity to collaborate on a comprehensive tobacco and obesity prevention legislative agenda for North Carolina;
  • A voice and a vote in the NCAH’s tobacco and obesity policy priority setting process;
  • Quality staff that will work to promote the NCAH’s policy priorities;
  • Receipt of legislative updates and action alerts during legislative sessions which you are asked to share with your membership and grassroots networks;
  • Quarterly information-sharing meetings;
  • The opportunity to hold NCAH education and advocacy trainings for your board, staff and members.
