The Triangle Electric Auto Association (TEAA) is a chapter of the Electric Auto Association, a national non-profit organization formed in 1967 to promote the use of electric vehicles as a viable transportation alternative that is efficient, economical, ecological and available today. The Triangle EAA serves electric car enthusiasts in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and Cary areas of North Carolina.

We cordially invite you to attend any one of our public meetings. We meet every third Saturday to work on a project. Please check our ‘Meetings’ link above for our agenda and any changes in the schedule. We will meet at other times for presentations, events, rallies, planning meetings and other types of activities.

Welcome!

Empowering You To Drive Electrically!

Thanks to

P & A Smith

Auto Maintenance

in Cary, NC

and

Exide Batteries

for their continued

support.

We have been asked by our parent organization to clarify our position with regard to the EV Challenge and its recent spinoff Smartt Challenge. It is the position of the TEAA that we do not support the administration, its activities or its business practices. We do support the ideas that the challenge was supposed to represent, and we support the enthusiasm of the eager young minds who have sought out the opportunity to learn and practice the technological benefits of EVs. It is with a sad heart we are required by conscience to not endorse, support or assist in any activity currently sponsored by this organization or its administrative associates. The TEAA thanks you for understanding that this is a decision of conscience and hopes there will be a day when we will be able to change our current position.

Sincerely,

TEAA chapter president
