  • To register for Holy Family's 2008 Vacation Church School (VCS), you may submit this on-line form. To volunteer to help at this year's VCS, use this on-line form.

  • Holy Family is a member of the Interfaith Council (IFC) for Social Services, an ecumenical organization which operates a Community Kitchen serving three meals a day, seven days a week to any hungry person; a Homeless Shelter; a Crisis Intervention program for local families; a live-in program called Homestart for families in transition to permanent housing; and an administrative office.  All of these programs are in constant need of volunteers.  Holy Family parishioners prepare and serve meals, pick up and sort food, serve as receptionists and interviewers, participate in Crop Walk and RSVVP fundraisers, and help in many other ways.  Contact Jane Humm (919-942-1061) or Rosalie Hammond (933-2258) for more information.

  • The third Sunday of the month is always IFC Pantry Sunday!!  You can bring food to Holy Family for the InterFaith Council Food Pantry at any time.   There is always a need for basics such as peanut butter and jelly, dry and canned food, and personal care items.  Just leave  (non-perishable) food in the narthex, or contact Leslie Frauenfelder (403-8863) for more information.  Or if you'd rather, you can deliver the donations directly to IFC at their new address: 110 W. Main St., Carrboro.

  • You can donate food to the hungry around the world for free by visiting The Hunger Site (see icon below).

  • Shared shopping, shared time...  How would you like to get $28-30 worth of groceries for less than $16?  What if you could "be in service to your neighbor" while you did this?  Follow the link for more information on Holy Family's connection to SHARE, a national nonprofit organization with affiliates in all 50 states.

  • Meals on Wheels delivers meals and conversation to shut-ins. Volunteers are needed. Contact Jeannie Arnel at Meals on Wheels (942-2948).

  • International Missions: Holy Family periodically takes work trips to Haiti and our companion diocese of Costa Rica.  We support the School of Notre Dame in Molas, Haiti, and hold a scholarship drive each June for the studetns there.  For information, contact Karen Bonardi (919-967-9836) or Diane Steinhaus (919-419-1516).  We also support a scholarship program for high school girls in Malawi, Africa.  Contact Cathy Emrick (919-544-6420) for information.

  • Overseas Missionaries:  Holy Family has long supported the building of God’s kingdom through prayer and financial assistance to various missionary efforts worldwide. Please consider corresponding with these partners in faith:
