James, For "translucent" resin, Steve Kaspar and I (and others known to
George Dyson) have used a flexible polyurathane ( Geko-flex?) available
through Dyson Baidarka Inc. It has held up well for 2+ years on my double
and seems to be lighter weight (goes on thinner) than the neoprene.
Again, George is the knowledgeable one on this subject. Final appearance
is a slightly parchment yellow translucent look. Good luck John Comstock
