Amber Alert Issued for 15 Year Old North Carolina Girl

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old Durham girl
believed to be kidnapped at gunpoint Friday afternoon. This occurred in
Durham, North Carolina.



Natalie Sanchez Fernandez, a Hispanic female, stands 5 feet 6 inches, weighs
about 160 pounds, has brown eyes and black shoulder-length hair. She was
last seen wearing a white jacket, blue Polo pullover short-sleeve shirt and
blue athletic pants with red and white stripes.

One of the assailants was described as a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches
tall, 150 pounds, with a dark complexion, mustache and goatee. He was last
seen wearing a red shirt and red pants, police said. The other man was
described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds, with a
dark complexion, and short brown hair.

Durham police said two men forced Fernandez into a white two-door Honda
Civic with tinted windows after she got off a school bus at 311 S. LaSalle
St. shortly after 3 p.m.

The car was last seen on LaSalle Street heading toward Hillsborough Road.

Anyone with information about Fernandez's whereabouts is asked to call 911
