[Wakeares-list] Hurricane Fair Volunteers

-Just a reminder that Wake ARES/RACES is a major participant in the upcoming 
Hurricane Preparedness Fair, this Saturday June 21 at Lowe's in west Raleigh.
-Many folks have volunteered, primarily for the early morning shift, from 
setup @ 0600 through mid-morning. 
-We need more volunteers for mid-morning through teardown around 1500.
-During that time, we need folks to be ambassadors for ham radio, explaining 
how ham radio (in general) and ARES (specifically) works. 
-Also, we are combining this with the ARRL Kid's Day, which is a great 
opportunity to introduce kids (and their parents) to ham radio. If prop is bad 
(which it might be), I've gotten permission to use the W4DW 146.64 (right, Gary?) 
for Kid's Day. If you can't come out, please stand by the mic to talk with kids 
on the RARS repeater.
-Any amount of time will be helpful. Pse drop me a line if you can to let me 
know if you can or can't help. Thanks to all (many of whom are not active ARES 
folks) who have already volunteered.
