North Carolina Peace Corps Association 10th Annual Fall Family Celebration and Cookout October 18, 2008 12 - 5 pm Lake Crabtree County Park
In conjunction with Peace Corps’s efforts to recruit and to retain Peace Corps Volunteers, Peace Corps and NCPCA invite the families of currently serving Volunteers and prospective Volunteers to join NCPCA members in attending our Fall Family Cookout and Picnic on October 18, 2008 at Lake Crabtree County Park at 1400 Aviation Parkway near Morrisville, North Carolina off I-40. Our annual Fall Family Picnic provides an opportunity for the Peace Corps community to recognize currently serving NC volunteers and their families and to provide support, helpful hints, and information to those contemplating joining Peace Corps in the future.
The celebration begins at 12:00 and extends until 5:00 PM. NCPCA plans to grill many hamburgers, cheeseburgers and hotdogs, provide beverages, plates, napkins, and utensils for the occasion. Please bring your favorite dessert, side dish, fruit or vegetable salad, casserole, or finger food to share with others.
Lake Crabtree offers many amenities and Beech Shelter is one of the bigger venues at the Park. For more details and directions to Lake Crabtree, please visit Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces at www.wakegov.com click on Lake Crabtree.
For an accurate count of those friends, family and members attending, please call or send your RSVP to Bob Wright BobWinCarrboroNC@aol.com or call 919-309-9622 no later than October 16, 2008. We hope to see you soon.
