Support in the Community

Community Support consists of mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation services and supports necessary to assist an individual in achieving and maintaining rehabilitative, sobriety, and recovery goals. The service is designed to meet people's mental health/substance abuse treatment, financial, social, and other treatment support needs. The service is also designed to assist people in acquiring mental health/substance abuse recovery skills necessary to successfully address educational, vocational, and housing needs.

The goals of Community Support include:

• the arrangement, linking or integration of multiple services as well as assessment and reassessment of the people need for services
• to inform the people about benefits, community resources, and services;
• to assist the people in accessing benefits and services;
• to arrange for the people to receive benefits and services;
• to monitor the provision of services.
