Freedom House is a non-profit (501(c)(3)) organization that provides
- residential crisis services, including substance abuse
detoxification, and mental health crisis services
- outpatient substance abuse and mental health services
- community support
- transitional living
- and extended care
to promote
- recovery from the disease of addiction
- stabilization and management of mental illness
- recovery and management of dual diagnosis (addiction and mental illness).

For more than 30 years our mission has been to help alcoholics and drug addicts and people with mental illnesses by providing the tools necessary to lead a life of recovery and to become productive members of the community. Freedom House is concerned with the emotional, physical, spiritual and social needs of those we serve. Our staff provides a therapeutic atmosphere in which growth and recovery become attainable goals. Our program goals are to provide:
- a structured, positive environment based on the 12-step recovery
model, evidence based treatment / rehabilitation, and case management
- appropriate, available and accessible treatment to recovering
addicts that will enable them to become productive members of society
- support and stabilization treatment for people with mental illnesses to help them manage their illness and fulfill life goals
- life skills programming to help strengthen each person in our program
- a response to community need for expanded services.
Freedom House responds to the needs of individuals with substance abuse addiction
and mental illness by providing crisis stabilization, long and short
term residential programs, social setting and non-hospital medical detoxification,
halfway house programs, outpatient psychiatric services and intensive
outpatient programs.
