Shop with FriendsThe Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel raises funds for ongoing activities in a variety of ways. Our current funding focus is on developing The Cary Heritage Museum and continuing The Page-Walker Concert Series. To further these goals we offer a variety of unique Page-Walker related items for sale. Some of these can be purchased at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center during normal business hours, some are available through local businesses, and others can only be purchased from our booths at the Spring Daze and Lazy Daze festivals. |

The Original Cary ShirtCary T-shirts and sweatshirts were first unveiled at the Lazy Daze festival in 1986. The design is by Anne Kratzer, founder of the Friends and its first president. Mrs. Kratzer, an artist and teacher, went to work on the shirts after Mayor Koka Booth commented that the town should have what some other municipalities have - a shirt that symbolizes its character. The shirts come in a variety of colors and sizes. They are sold at town festivals, and can be found year-round at the Lynn's Hallmark store in Shoppes of Kildaire on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary. |
