Fall 2008 Schedule

July 14-August 13	Registration for DGSL's Fall 2008 Season. Durham Parks and Recreation is accepting registrations for girls ages 7-16 (born between 8/1/92 and 12/31/01) from July 14-August 13 by mail or in person. The cost is $35 per child. Wednesday, August 13	Deadline to register for the DGSL's Fall 2008 season. An additional $10 willbe added for applications not received or postmarked by August 13.
Saturday, August 16	Soccer Fest is a free event from 10:00am-1:00pm. Ages 3-mature adult. Prizes, food, fun, clinics, and pickup games. Soccer Fest will be held at Herndon Park (located on Scott King Road ). Late registration for DGSL and DBSL will be accepted at this event for $45.00 per child, if spaces are available (i.e. see rules packet on www.DGSL.org for team size limit).
Monday, August 18	Free soccer clinic for girls ages 7-16, from 6:00pm-7:00pm. This clinic is with the Duke Women's Soccer team. The clinic will be held at the Duke Practice soccer fields (located on Frank Bassett Drive across from Duke's Koskinen soccer stadium and right before you reach Wallace Wade football stadium).  Each girl should come dressed for soccer and bring a soccer ball and water bottle. They are asked to wear their spring DGSL shirt if they have one.
Week of September 8	Fall Practices begin
Weekend of September 19-20	Fall games start
Weekend of November 14-15	Fall games end

Important dates and events for Spring 2008 Season
Spring 2008 Schedule

February 4-March 7, 2008	Registrations is being accepted. You can download a form at WWW.DGSL.ORG or email Jennifer.Buxton@durhamnc.gov. Registrations may be turned in through the mail or in person between February 4-March 7. This league has age groups for girls ages 7-8, 9-10, 11-13, and 14-16 (born between 8/1/91- 12/31/00). The cost is $35 per child. (A $10 late fee will be added for forms received or postmarked after March 7).
Saturday, March 1, 2008	Soccer clinic at Valley Springs Park . This clinic is for girls ages 7-16 and if free of charge. Players are asked to bring a ball, water bottle and wear their fall 2007 DGSL shirts. The clinic will be held from 9:30am-10:30am.
Wednesday, March 5, 2008	DGSL Coaches Meeting, 7:00pm, at Edison John son Rec Center ( 600 W. Murray St .) Same place as the fall meeting. Remember to come early so you can get a number which will determine the order of who picks their practice slot first.  (Triangle  United/Woodcroft and Durham Academy teams, please attend this meeting)
Weekend of March 28-29, 2008	First weekend of games.
Saturday, April 12, 2008	Team pictures will be taken (make ups will be April 26)
Weekend of May 16-18, 2008	Last weekend of games
