Hi everyone! I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend and are looking forward to an enjoyable summer. As always, plans are underway for next year. Here's a brief update.
CONVENTIONS
The Fall Conference will be October 23 - 25, 2009, at Gatlinburg, TN. Registration forms were attached to last month's update, and the information is on CSC's web site. Mary Anne Koltowich, Knoxville, is the Fall Conference Coordinator and is busy putting together another excellent weekend. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend.
Sign-ups are underway for Whitefish, Montana - CSC's 2010 Ski Week trip. Dates are January 16 - 23rd. Your trip directors have the information, and it should be posted on CSC's web site shortly. Registration for Race & Ski Camp has been delayed due to issues with CSC's pending contract with Steamboat. John Casey and Ron Scott hope to have those resolved soon. Registration data and other Information will be provided as soon as they become available. Results are in from the 2011 destination voting by the Trips Committee. The short lists are: January - Taos and Telluride; March - Sun Valley and Ogden, Utah (Snow Basin, Powder Mountain, etc.). Talk with your club members and determine where they want to go in 2011 so you can vote accordingly at the Fall Conference Trips Committee meeting.
RACING
Ron and his helpers are busy working on sponsorships for next season.
MEMBER SERVICES
Sue Chadwick is doing a great job keeping the web site current, and Bruce McMurray is maintaining CSC's database. As always, please advise Bruce of any changes in your officers, reps, etc. Our ability to communicate is hindered if the database is not current.
ADMINISTRATIVE
All is well, or at least I think it is! Rod is transitioning his treasurer's duties to Bill Melton, and the rest of ExComm are busy with their normal functions. Crescent is fortunate to have an excellent group of people who have volunteered to serve in many capacities. Be sure to thank them and remember that we are always looking for more volunteers. Please distribute these updates to your members, via email or by placing them on your web site. Let's keep our members informed! That's it for now. Have a great June!
