Splash Into Summer With Thompson Child & Family Focus!
Until June 11
Shop for new clothes for a child's
summer needs!
(1) Pick up a Heart at the Thompson Table in the parish dining
room.
(2) Buy item listed. Return it unwrapped to the parish
office by June 11.
Thompson Child & Family Focus (formerly
known as Thompson Children's Home) regulations require that
only new clothing, bed linens, and towels be donated for this
residential psychiatric therapeutic treatment facility for the
children aged 6 to 12 years. However gently used clothing can be
accepted for infants to 5 year olds in the Day Care Child
Development facilities.
Thompson Child & Family Focus is
affiliated with the three Episcopal dioceses of North Carolina. Its
residential psychiatric treatment program provides a variety of
therapeutic, educational, recreational, spiritual, and healing
ministries in a nurturing care facility for some of our most abused
and neglected children. In most cases the courts have terminated
parental rights. Thompson serves children from across the state of
North Carolina who are in the care of departments of social
services and mental health; it receives no private referrals.
For more information, please call Susan
Thomason or Dina Urquhart.
Financial contributions can also be made to
"The Chapel of the Cross" with note on check for:
"Rector's Discretionary Fund/Thompson children's
clothes."
Send
items for inclusion in future "Cross Roads."
The deadline is the first Thursday of the preceeding month.
