Bake shop

Betsy Vaden

Who can resist home-baked goods?! The Bake Shop is located in the heart of the ABC Sale - the dining room. This is your opportunity to try some of our parishioners' time-tested, tried-and-true recipes; your chance to splurge a little and feel good about it. In the Bake Shop you'll find beautiful cakes, yummy pies, fresh breads, cookies and bars of all kinds, "kids love 'em" cupcakes, fudge, peanut brittle, and other kinds of homemade treats. Shop early for the best selection because the cakes, pies, and loaves of bread sell out quickly. We'll be happy to hold your purchase for you until you are ready to leave the ABC Sale.

In order to stock the shelves of the Bake Shop, we need volunteer cooks to provide us with the goods. Many of our parishioners have favorite recipes that they prepare for the ABC Sale each year, but we also need new volunteers to keep the Bake Shop well supplied. If you can help by providing baked goods, please contact one of the department chairs as soon as possible. Goods can be dropped off at the church anytime on Friday, April 28. Arrangements may also be made for drop off on Thursday evening if Friday is a problem. In addition to baked goods, we will be happy to sell preserves, pickles, cheese straws/biscuits, and even homemade soups - whatever is your specialty. We need providers as well as consumers; please call us so we can say "Bon Appetit" to our many anticipated customers.
