Involvement

CISOC helps families identify and access benefits, such as the Caring Program for Children, an insurance program paid by private donations, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and the North Carolina General Assembly.

Our Programs are teaching kids to be aware of their community and to be enthusiastic volunteers.

Individual site coordinators and school staff choose the students who will be involved based on recommendations of teachers, parents, other students, and community agency personnel. Students must want to be involved and their parent(s) or guardian(s) must provide written permission.

The CISOC Board of Directors is comprised of educators, bankers, small business owners, retirees, community activists, and parents. Currently, we are in the process of implementing parent/student advisory councils. The councils will provide vital input and insight into how the organization can best meet the needs of the students and their families.
