CHAOS meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 at Carol Woods Community Center. Everyone is welcome, and parking is free. Meetings include club business, a "What's Up" section describing the month's sky, and a main program. Program topics range from astrophysics and cosmology to observing equipment selection and techniques, with occasional field trips to sites like Morehead Planetarium. Meetings are also when we socialize, and learn faces to go with the voices we hear in the dark. |

| From Chapel Hill: Take 15-501 bypass to Erwin Rd (directly across the street from the Sheraton). Follow Erwin Road to the first signal. Turn left on Weaver Dairy Road. From Carrboro: Take Hwy 54 East to the Greensboro Street exit. Follow Greensboro Street past the Harris Teeter, and turn right onto Estes Drive. Follow Estes until you reach Airport Rd (Hwy 86), then go left. Continue on Airport Rd to the intersection of Weaver Dairy Rd, then turn right. Carol Woods will be about a mile down, on the left. |
