NCAEA Board Meeting Minutes

September 28, 2003

AGENDA

  1. Call to Order
  2. President John Connelly convened the meeting at 4:00 p.m. John welcomed everyone to the meeting.

  3. Treasurer’s Report

Eleanor Stell reported the following:

    • SECU Shares Account $ 142.30
    • SECU Interest Checking $ 3868.57
    • Money Market Shares $14,491.19
  1. Membership Committee Report
  2. John Connelly thanked Veronica Ford for putting together the NCAEA membership directory. Veronica Ford reported that we had 63 total members (5 Emeritus/Senior members, 56 Professional members and 2 student members).

  3. Nomination Committee Report

We have a full Board for the next two years. There are a total of 16 Board members.

V. Old Business

John called for corrections to the June 13, 2003, Board Meeting minutes. The motion was made and seconded that the minutes be approved.

VI. New Business

  • Aisha Williams Pegram (Gardner Webb University) designed both the NCAEA conference postcard and brochure. A motion was made and seconded to give her $150.00, for her work on these items.
  • There was a discussion on how to get more NCAEA members involved in the Association. Discussed scheduling a one day drive-in meeting offering a program that would benefit all attending. This drive-in meeting would be scheduled the same day as a Board meeting with lunch being part of the meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 4:50 p.m.
